Why use BW3

Why should I pay BW3 to design our website?
Everyone seems to know someone who can 'knock up a website' whether it is a teenage relative, or a friend who's 'quite good' with a computer. Of course, anyone who is reasonably computer-literate can type in some text and paste in a bit of clipart to a design program and call it a website - our children even do it at school!

So why should you hire a professional web company like BW3?
The first problem with that cut and paste approach so beloved of amateurs and those doing it 'on the cheap', is that pages made that way can be very slapdash, (we won't baffle you with technical terms that you don't need to know!) and slow to display in the browser.

The second problem is with the kind of look and feel that approach tends to produce. You want to convey a professional image through your website - your business deserves it! Substandard presentation reflects badly on your image, and you may have spent good money on marketing and establishing that 'corporate identity' or 'branding' which an ill-designed, amateurish website will undermine.

At BW3 we produce quality websites, well designed, properly coded and easily accessible - see our portfolio pages for more details.

The firm who print our brochures do webdesign. Why not use them?
It is so often repeated it has become a cliche - "The Web Is Not Print" - and we've all seen ideas conceived for printed media turned into websites with little consideration for image sizes, valid coding and useable navigation. The crossover from print to internet is more difficult than many imagine - BW3 don't try to produce books but we do know how to make great websites!

What happens to our website after it 'Goes Live'?
This is yet another reason to choose a professional web design company. Will that 'neighbour's teenage son' or 'friend of a friend' still be there in the Months following the website launch to update it, report on Search Engine placements and hit statistics - maybe eventually redevelop it with a new look and functionality? BW3 aim to develop long-term relationships with our Clients - it's good for our business and it's good for your business.

We will publicise your website as part of the initial design service, to the major search engines and relevant news groups and offer a competitively priced update/maintenance service and targeted search engine submission, should you require - we have had a number of number one rankings on Google, Yahoo and MSN (the three most popular SE's) - to make sure your website delivers the sales or leads you require.

Search Engines

How do potential customers find our website?
This is another area where the 'home made' approach lets you down. Does your friend, relative or colleague know about the myriads of Search Engines and how to optimise your site to get ranked on them? No, we thought not. So how is someone looking for your goods or services going to find you?

Your website needs promotion on the Internet.
The various Search Engines (Google, MSN, Excite, Lycos, Yahoo, etc.) each have their own rules for ranking web sites, and there are often strict guidlines on content and submission which must not be breached, otherwise your website may not be listed at all!

There are also various link exchanges, news groups and banner advertising firms, most of which will not be appropriate for your business. We can advise you on how your web site should be promoted and then we can carry out that promotion for you.

Obviously, you should publicise the website address yourself via the traditional means of advertising you already use - and of course it should be included when you reprint your stationery such as letterheads, business cards and brochures. Many people have it painted on their vehicles... oh, and don't forget to tell existing customers, suppliers or whoever!
